M.C.C. (England) v Bombay (Ranji Champions)

Bombay, whose first gesture of declaring 107 runs  behind  showed
an inclination to make a match of it, did not afterwards accept a
most reasonable challenge to score 200 in three and a half  hours
in  the  second  innings. Woolmer, Brearley, Fletcher and Randall
all had a share of success as M.C.C. made 308 for 4 on the  first
day  and  declared.  Bombay, playing less than their full batting
strength because of injuries, struggled for runs  against  steady
bowling.  Batting high up the order in the second innings, Miller
made 52 out of M.C.C.`s total of 112 for 2 declared.
