For a Win1. For outright win by an innings 20 points. (16 points for win plus
4 points for no having batted second innings) plus any bonus points
scored in the first innings.
2. For outright win by wickets or runs16 points plus any bonus points
scored in the first and second innings.
For a Tie3. In a tie where only one innings has taken place due to unavoidable
circumstances and the scores are equal, each side to get 8 points
plus any bonus points scored in the innings.
4. In a tie where two innings have taken place and the scores are equal
each side will get 8 points plus the bonous points scored in the
first and second innings.
For a Draw5. For a drawn match where only one innings has taken place due to
unavoidable circumstances and the scores are equal each side
will get the bonus points scored in the innings.
6. If both the innings had been played in a drawn match each side will
get the bonus points scored in the first and second innings.
7. In a drawn match where only one innings has taken place due to unavoidable
circumstances and the scores are not equal, each side will get bonus points
scored in the innings.
8. In a drawn match where no bonus points are earned by any team 6 points
to be given to each them.
9. In a drawn match where two innings have taken place and the scores are not
equal, each side to get bonus points scored in the first and second innings.
Calculation of Bonus PointsBonus points shall be awarded only for performances in the first 90 overs
of each first innings and in the first 40 overs of each second innings
and retained whatever the result of the match1.A maximum of four batting points are available as under
Upto 90 overs (1st innings):
150 to 199 runs : 1 point
200 to 249 runs : 2 points
250 to 299 runs : 3 points
300 runs and above : 4 points
Upto 40 overs (2nd innings):
100 to 124 runs : 1 point
125 to 149 runs : 2 points
150 to 174 runs : 3 points
175 runs and above : 4 points
2.A maximum of four bowling points to be available as under
Upto 90 overs (1st innings):
3 to 4 wickets taken : 1 point
5 to 6 wickets taken : 2 points
7 to 8 wickets taken : 3 points
9 to 10 wickets taken : 4 points
Upto 40 overs (2nd innings):
2 to 3 wickets taken : 1 point
4 to 5 wickets taken : 2 points
6 to 7 wickets taken : 3 points
8 to 10 wickets taken : 4 points
Abandoned Match6 points to be awarded to both sides if a match is abandoned without a
ball being bowled.
If Points are Equal
If two or more members in a zone secure equal number of points then their
relative position in the table of points shall be determined as under
The number of runs scored by a team shall be divided by the number of the
wickets fallen and a quotient be obtained. Similarly the number of runs
scored by the other teams shall be divided by the number of wickets fallen
and a quotient be obtained. The team obtaining highest quotient shall be
placed next to it. If the quotients are also equal then the relative
positions shall be determined by spin of coin.
Penalty For Slow Over Rate
Penalty for slow over rate at the rate of 4 runs per over shall be added
to the total runs scored by the batting side.
Total runs after the addition of penalty runs shall be taken into account
when awarding bonus to the batting side.
