India looked certain to clinch a 3-0 series whitewash after after stand-in skipper Ravi Shastri (109), Sanjay Manjrekar (105) and Srikkanth (53) led them to 287-4 in 50 overs. However, Kepler Wessels followed up his half centuries in the first two two games with a sterling 90 to put South Africa on the victory path. Peter Kirsten (86) and Adrian Kuiper (63) then produced an unbroken stand to see them home with 3.2 overs to spare. Thanks to Mohan Krishnamoorthy on r.s.c. Contributed by probal (probal@*rutgers.edu)
