Sanjay (TN wickie) get his 50th victim in his 30th match. 21 yr old T.N pacer Gokulkrishnan called several times for chucking. TN LET OFF THE HOOK For the 2nd day in succession Karnataka connived to concede the initiative. Reducing Tamil Nadu, overnight 72 for 4 in reply to Karnataka's 148, to 130 for 7 within 17 overs they could not tighten the screws. The visitors wriggled out of the tight situa- tion to reach 222 and consolidated their position further res- tricting the hosts to 81 for 2 by the end of the day. Day 3, 2 Jan 94 A splendid knock by Rahul Dravid. This stylish 20-year-old bats- man almost single-handedly brought Karnataka to a position of strength, as wickets tumbled at the other end after opener Arun Kumar departed for a well-made 68. Thanx to the efforts of these two youngsters, Karnataka now have a lead of 302 runs at the end of 3rd day and can go for the kill on the final day. Day 4, 3 Jan 94 RESOUNDING WIN FOR KARNATAKA B'LORE - Karnataka formulated a splendid riposte after being at the receiving end for most of 3 days in their crucial Ranji Tro- phy looked completely transformed on the final day today, went for the kill ruthlessly and ultimately delivered the sucker punch at the stroke of tea to emerge deserving winners by a convincing margin of 131 runs.
