Canterbury v Central Districts, Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

Canterbury secured top spot and a home semi final draw by  easily
beating  Central  Districts. After a 20 run first wicket partner-
ship Central slid to 36-6 with over half their overs well.  Twose
(51) and Lamason (30) then hit out skilfully, but a 50 over total
of 121-8 was never going to be good enough. Astle managed another
great   performance   with 2-12 from 10.  Canterbury were untrou-
bled to win by 7 wickets after 40 overs.
