Sri Lanka levelled the series with a 44 run win in a low scoring
day night game at the Khettarama ground South Africa restricted
the hosts to 198 9 in their 50 overs with vice captain Aravinda
de Silva top scoring with 61 not out. Paceman Champaka Ramanayake then turned the game around with his best one day figures of 4 17 as he tore through the Springbok batting. Last pair
Richard Snell and Fanie de Villiers put on a brave stand of 51
but they could not prevent Sri Lanka from clinching victory.
