The hard hitting opener who took 10 fours off Yorkshire`s seamers in reaching 50 from 43 balls made 113 out of 289-8. Jason Ratcliffe stayed with Moles until after lunch adding 43 to their third century opening partnership in six matches this season. Day 2: Warwickshire paceman Allan Donald pushed Yorkshire into a perilous position with his best performance of a troubled season. The South African took 3-31 as Yorks collapsed to 178 all out then blasted Ashley Metcalfe as they made 10-1 following on 168 behind. After bagging only 11 wickets in seven matches Donald resorted to a video study of his action before the match. Day 3: No Report. Yorks 282 all out in 2nd innings. Warwicks 11-1 chasing 115 to win Day 4: Yorkshire`s dismal county championship run continued with a six wicket defeat at the hands of Warwickshire. Needing to make just 115 runs in their second innings for victory the home seemed a little too complacent as they slumped to 37-3. But Tre- vor Penney (32no) and night watchman Piran Holloway (44) put on a stand of 75 to see Warwicks home.
