Nottinghamshire`s hopes of claiming any championship prize  money
diminished  as  Warwickshire built a solid 172 for two in game at
Trent Bridge. Andy Moles provided the backbone with  an  unbeaten
54 despite running out partner Jason Ratcliffe with a drive which
was deflected onto the stumps. This left the unfortunate Racliffe
on 999 runs for the season! Moles shared an unbroken third wicket
stand of 90 with Trevor Penney who hit some fine shots in  reach-
ing 46.
