Phil Newport took 4-20 and Stuart Lampitt 3-9 as unbeaten Middlesex folded dramatically in 27.3 overs. It equalled the season`s lowest total. Only opener Des Haynes ironically caught by Lampitt off Newport for 17 and John Carr (10) reached double figures. Worcs replied with 193-7. Day 2 - 17 Sep 1993 Worcestershire rounded off their end of season charge by inflict- ing a first defeat for champions Middlesex by an innings and 36 runs inside two days. Former England bowler Neal Radford spear- headed the victory charge when Middlesex, dismissed for 68 in the first innings, batted again.
