India beat South Africa to win sixes event

India put behind them their Australasia Cup  disappointment  last
week,  by  winning  an  international  six-a-side tournament here
Wednesday.  The Indians outplayed South Africa in a one-sided fi-
nal  under  floodlights  at  Lal Bahadur stadium.  Australia, New
Zea- land, West Indies and  SriLanka  also  took  part   in   the
three-day  event.   Star  allrounder Kapil Dev led the way in the
six-a-side final with a blazing unbeaten 32 as  India  scored  67
for   two   in  their   five  overs.   The South Africans managed
only 26 in reply after  former  Indian  test  off-spinner  Arshad
Ayub, chief organiser of the event, struck two vital blows in the
opening over.
