Date-stamped : 07 May95 - 22:23 SUNLG: Nottinghamshire v Derbyshire, Nottingham, 7 May 1995 Notts collapse to Derbyshire run-outs Nottinghamshire allowed Derbyshire to grab a 21-run victory at Trent Bridge when they lost seven wickets for just 40 runs. Chasing 220 to win, Notts were cruising at 158 for three going into the final stages. But, spurred on by fine fielding, Derbyshire triggered a spectac- ular collapse. Derbyshire, given a good platform by a half-century from captain Kim Barnett, were also indebted to South African Test player Daryll Cullinan, who struck six fours and three sixes in an in- nings of 64 to take his side to 219 for six. It did not look enough as Paul Pollard launched Notts` run chase with a half-century off 49 deliveries that included nine fours. Paul Johnson and New Zealander Chris Cairns put on 58 in only 10 overs. But, after the latter had holed out on the midwicket boun- dary, Johnson was run out for 44 by some smart work from Andy Harris and wicketkeeper Adrian Rollins. Johnson`s dismissal was one of four run-outs that led to Notts being dismissed for 198.
