Date-stamped : 16 May95 - 10:27 SUNLG: Kent v Leicestershire, Canterbury, 14 May 1995 Cowdrey creates last-ball victory A SUPERB 92 not out off just 68 balls by Graham Cowdrey yesterday saw Kent home by four wickets against Leicestershire at Canter- bury - their second successive victory. In the tightest possible finish, Kent needed one off the last ball and, fittingly, it was Cowdrey who scored the winning runs with his 11th boundary, thereby recording his second highest score in Sunday League cricket. It was his fourth-wicket stand of 110 in 16 overs with the Sri Lankan Aravinda de Silva that provided the foundation for Kent`s success. The pair had come together with Kent struggling at 70 for three. De Silva was eventually bowled by Adrian Pearson for 42 at 180, which left Kent needing to score 56 off the last 50 balls. Leicestershire`s defeat was hard on the captain Nigel Briers, who carried his bat for his fifth Sunday League hundred in a total of 235 for five.
