Date-stamped : 26 Jun95 - 10:27 SUNLG: Somerset v Sussex, Bath, 25 June 1995 Somerset struggle in the sun Somerset restricted Sussex to 197 for eight at Bath, where a crowd of 4,500 basked in the sun, but then struggled despite Richard Harden`s 69, finishing 16 short. Somerset lost openers Mark Lathwell and Peter Bowler with only 24 runs scored. A tidy spell from Robin Martin-Jenkins throttled them further but they recovered as Harden and Keith Parsons added 89 in 16 overs for the fourth wicket. However Franklyn Stephenson, who had earlier dismissed Lathwell, returned to have Harden and Parsons both caught behind after which Jason Lewry, bowling straight and to a full length, knocked over the tail to finish with four for 29. Earlier, Sussex had had their problems, declining at one point to 37 for three but a solid 48 from Alan Wells followed by an un- beaten 46 from Peter Moores, made off 40 balls with six fours, ensured a challenging total.
