Date-stamped : 29 May95 - 14:26 UNIV: Oxford University v Derbyshire, The Parks, 25-27 May 1995 Will Kendall gave Derbyshire a jolt before they limped past their victory target of 95 runs for the loss of five wickets against Oxford University in The Parks. Kendall finished with a career-best three for 37 off 12 overs, while Angus MacRobert claimed two for seven in four overs as the county side finally secured the win shortly before tea after slipping to 73 for five. Oxford, resuming on 174 for six, with a lead of 10 runs after they had been dismissed for 97 in the first innings, batted with determination to reach 258. Mike Jarrett made 40, his highest score for the university, and the last four wickets put on 106. Justin Ricketts (31) and MacRobert (29) also recorded their best scores in first-class cricket.
