Ruwan Kalpage, Saman Jayantha will lead v WI 'A'

Ruwan Kalpage of Bloomfield and Saman Jayantha of Singha SC will lead the teams playing West Indies 'A' in the two opening fixtures on their tour of Sri Lanka.

Jayantha will captain the Colts XI which will meet the tourists in a two-day game starting at Police Park, Bambalapitiya on October 30, and Kalpage, the Board President's XI in the three-day game at the CCC grounds from November 2-4.

West Indies 'A' led by Roger Harper are due to arrive on October 27 on a five week, nine-match tour which will include a series of three 4-day unofficial Tests and as many one-day internationals against the Sri Lanka 'A' side which will be led by Marvan Atapattu.

The teams: Colts XI: Saman Jayantha (captain), Ruwin Peiris, Russel Arnold (vice-captain), Naveed Nawaz, Indika de Saram, Waruna Waragoda, Lanka de Silva (wicket-keeper), Tilan Samaraweera, Suranga Wijenayake, Wendell Labrooy, Nuwan Soysa, Reserves : Nimesh Perera, Mahela Jayawardena, Hemantha Wickremaratne.

Board President's XI: Ruwan Kalpage (captain), Ruwin Peiris, Chaminda Mendis, Sajith Fernando, Saman Jayantha, Mahela Jayawardena, Hemantha Wickremaratne, Chamara Dunusinghe (wicketkeeper/vice-captain), Nimesh Perera, Erik Upashantha, Mario Villavarayan, Reserves - Indika de Saram, Waruna Waragoda, Tilan Samaraweera.
