5 SL players in 'A' squad

Five Test players were named along with three under 19 World Cup cricketers in Sri Lanka 'A's squad of 14 to play England 'A' in the third and final 4-day unofficial Test beginning at the Moratuwa Stadium tomorrow.

Middle-order batsmen Hashan Tillekeratne, who will lead the team and Sanjeeva Ranatunga, who returns from illness, two former openers Chandika Hathurusingha and Duleep Samaraweera and fast-medium bowler Pramodya Wickremasinghe were picked to play in the 'Test' which Sri Lanka must win to square the 3-match series.

Also down to play are all-rounder Pradeep Hewage (the under 19 captain), who missed the Matara 'Test' through injury, leg-spinner Malinga Bandara and wicket-keeper Prasanna Jayawardena - all three of whom toured South Africa for the recently concluded junior World Cup tournament.

England 'A' lead the series 1-0 having won the second 'Test' at Matara by one wicket. The first 'Test' ended in a draw at Kurunegala.
