As New Zealanders we have been overwhelmed by the charm, warmth and hospitality of almost everyone we have come across from Sri Lankan cricket board president Thilanga Sumathipala to the car valet attendants at the Taj Samudra Hotel.
Despite the obvious frustrations forced on everyone by the recent weather the New Zealand team have thoroughly enjoyed their stay in a beautiful country.
We leave for home shortly and will inform all our friends how great your country is.
