Former Kenya captain Maurice Odumbe has been dropped from the national team that left last night for India to participate in the Coca-Coca Tri-Nations Cup.

Subsequently, the Kenya Cricket Association was due to hold an emergency meeting last night to deliberate on the fate of extrovert all-rounder.

Odumbe's exclusion follows his recent scathing attack on the Kenyan cricket administrators for failing to give him back the captaincy which was handed to spinner Asif Karim.

Odumbe was quoted in the press saying that he has failed to come to terms with the appointment of Karim.

The travelling party is Karim (captain) Steve Tikolo, Ravindu Shah, Lameck Onyango, Joseph Angara, Thomas Odoyo, Tony Suji, Martin Suji, Alpesh Vadher, Mohammed Sheikh, Deepak Chudasama, Kennedy Otieno and Hitesh Modi.

The officials are Robbie Armstrong (tour manager), Mehmood Qureishy (team manager), Zulfikar Devji (physiotherapist).

The tournament fixtures are: May 14 - India v Bangladesh (Charndigah), May 17 - Bangladesh v Kenya (Hyderbad), May 20 - India v Kenya (Bangalore), May 23 - Bangaldesh v Kenya (Chennai), May 25 - India v Bangladesh (Mumbai), May 28 - India v Kenya (Gwelior) and May 31 - Final (Culcutta).
