Sri Lanka as the top one-day cricketing nation go out favourites to lift the Wills Quadrangular tournament commencing today at Lahore to celebrate Pakistan's fifty years of Independence.

Based on the performances for the 1997 calendar year Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies are the top three one-day natiions's in the standings, while host country Pakistan are a distant seventh.

Zimbabwe moved from seventh place to fourth after registering six consecutive victories in the recently concluded three-nation tournament in Kenya.
