CBCA-Board XI match abandoned

Rain forced the second four-day cricket match between the
touring Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy (CBCA) and the Sri
Lanka Board XI to be abandoned for the third consecutive day at
the SSC yesterday.

The persistent showers had left certain sections of the outfield
soaked.

A spokesman for the Sri Lanka Cricket Board said that both teams
will play a one-day limited overs match today provided the
ground is suitable for play and weather permitting.

The first of three four-day matches in the series, was drawn at
the Sara Stadium. The third and final match commences at the
Galle Stadium on Saturday.
