Date-stamped : 18 Jan1998 - 11:59 18 January 1998 Waqar Younis bundles out Islamabad By Our Sports Reporter LAHORE, Jan 17: Helped by a devastating bowling by the Test paceman Waqar Younis, who claimed six wickets for 16 runs in his 12 lethal overs, Multan Division bundled out Islamabad for a paltry 123 on opening day of the Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Trophy Grade I match at the Montgomery ground, according to a message received here from Sahiwal on Saturday. In reply at, Multan scored 32 for three at the stump. Raja Arshad and Tariq Mahboob will resume the Multan innings on Sunday. Opener Bilal Asad scored 51 in 126 minutes before being clean bowled by Waqar Younis. Khalid Zafar (16) and Shahid Rauf (19) were the only other batsmen who reached the double figures. Waseem Majeed took two wickets for seven runs conceding 15 and 19 runs, respectively. Waqar Younis also claimed the wickets of Khalid Zafar, Zaheer Abbasi (2), Qaisar Mahmood (0), Asif Mahmood (0) and Fahd Khan (3). The Islamabad pacemen also hit back to claim three important wickets. Waseem Majeed (0) fell leg before wicket to Stephen John. Masroor Husain (2) was caught by Bilal Asad off Taimoor Ali while Muhammad Shafiq (30) was clean bowled by Taimoor.
