An amazing collapse by Kingswood College who from a position of strength of 126 for 2 collapsed to 145 all out saw them slide to a 50-run defeat against Dharmaraja College in their 10th annual limited-over match for the late Winston Hoole Trophy played at the Police grounds, Kandy yesterday.

In reply to Rajans total of 195 Kingswoodians were cruising happily at 126 for 2 in the 26th over, but some inept batting saw them surrender the match.

With this win, Rajans go five up in the series against four by Kingswoodians with one match being abandoned.

Dharmaraja's Nuwan Ekanayake won the Man of the Match award for his stubborn knock of 47 with three fours and a six off 82 deliveries. But the players who really stole the limelight was Kingswood's vice-captain Roshan Perera who captured 4 for 31 and hit a quick fire 43 with five fours and two sixers off only 28 deliveries. But his performance did not have a decisive influence on the match.

Deputy Minister of Lands and Agriculture and Kurunegala District MP Salinda Dissanayake was the chief guest and distributed the awards.
