We are missing luck, says Haroon Rasheed

KARACHI, Nov 12: Pakistan coach Haroon Rasheed said he was as devastated as other cricket followers but maintained that his team needed just one good win to fall back on track.

``The element of luck is missing otherwise everything is well,'' Haroon said on Wednesday.

Haroon stated that the team lost the Faisalabad Test because of senseless batting but it was the same outfit which bounced back from 9 for 4 to score 262 while chasing 272 to win against the same opposition in the quadrangular event.

``There is nothing wrong except luck which is not in our favour. ``It is quite painful when the bad result of the team is attributed to the coach.

``The West Indies team has Clive Lloyd and Malcolm Marshal, the two great cricketers in their respective fields. But still the West Indies lost all the three matches,'' Haroon said.

``As a coach, I have worked on every individual. We went into every match with planning but when luck is deserting you, all your schemes are failed. And that is what has been happening to our team in the last two weeks or so,'' Haroon stated.

Haroon said he was optimistic that his team would produce good results in the coming series against the West Indies.

``The boys had been playing continuous cricket and I am sure that during the eight-day break, they would have recomposed themselves. I am confident that they will come into the Test with a positive and determined approach,'' said Haroon.
