Warwickshire, captained by Neil  Smith   for   the   first  time,
reached    a   new   target   of   145   in   30   overs    after
Northamptonshire had  made  173  for   nine   from   their   full
quota  at Edgbaston.

Smith scored 30 as the home side won with  three  balls to spare.

A disjointed match was eventually settled by a  stand  of  33  in
less than four  overs  by  Dominic  Ostler  and  Graeme Welch.
