Ganga a surprise pick in West Indies squad

West Indies cricket selectors sprung a major surprise yesterday
when they named promising teenage Trinidad and Tobago batsman,
Darren Ganga, in a 16-man squad for the tour of South Africa
later this year.
There was also some surprise over the inclusion of opener Stuart
Williams over Barbadian Sherwin Campbell.
The squad: Brian Lara (captain), Carl Hooper (vice-captain),
Clayton Lambert, Philo Wallace, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Jimmy
Adams, Junior Murray, Ridley Jacobs, Franklyn Rose, Courtney
Walsh, Curtly Ambrose, Nixon McLean, Mervyn Dillon, Dinanath
Ramnarine, Stuart Williams, Darren Ganga.
