SOMERSET, who after inserting Nottinghamshire and dismissing them for a modest 181, looked out of it at 74 for five in the AXA League yesterday. However, thanks to Rob Turner (60) and Keith Parsons (35), they came back to tie the match.

With Turner and Graham Rose at the wicket, 22 were needed off three overs. Rose, struggling to get Alex Wharf away, was caught at long-on and when Turner followed next over, Notts were favourites.

With 12 needed off the last over, Adrian Pierson clipped the first ball, a full toss, for four to square leg but Wharf offered no more gifts. With three needed off the last ball, Marcus Trescothick's square drive yielded only two.
