Dean Headley and Martin McCague were the only two players to take any satisfaction from Kent's abandoned game against Sussex at Tunbridge Wells. Headley, a possible replacement for the injured Darren Gough in England's second Test side, took two wickets in Sussex's 50 for four in the 13.1 overs possible before heavy rain set in. Just as encouragingly for Kent, McCague showed glimpses of regaining the pace and ryhthm which has eluded him recently.
