A PARTNERSHIP of 98 in only 12.1 overs between Graeme Hick and David Leatherdale gained Worcestershire their second AXA League success of the season in a game reduced to 19 overs a side.

Matthew Maynard had earlier launched the Glamorgan innings with 42 from 34 balls and, with useful support from Adrian Dale, enabled Glamorgan to set the opposition a run rate of almost seven runs an over.

Worcestershire lost their openers in the opening six overs but Hick was soon into his stride, reaching 50 from 41 balls, and though he was out with nine runs needed Worcester won with two balls remaining.
