Glamorgan v Leicestershire at Cardiff
The Electronic Telegraph
21 June 1998
LEICESTERSHIRE followed up their championship win the previous day
with a 20-run success against Glamorgan at Pontypridd yesterday to
record their fourth win in the competition and keep in touch with the
leaders.
Paul Nixon and Chris Lewis rescued Leicestershire from 31 for three
with two half-centuries.
On a slow pitch Glamorgan were given a useful start by their temporary
opening pair of Adrian Dale and Wayne Law before Matthew Maynard
struck 66 from 64 balls. But when he was bowled by Alan Mullally in
the 35th over no one could maintain the required run-rate of eight an
over.
