Pakistan Cricket Board Secretary Waqar Ahmad told Dawn here on Monday that neither the PCB chairman Khalid Mahmood nor the Council-members have approved names of the Toronto-bound side, so the announcement of the team has been deferred to Tuesday afternoon.

He said that the selection committee had handed over the team to him after finalising it on Saturday.

Mr. Waqar Ahmed said he failed to understand how the name of the 17th player, off-spinner Murtaza, cropped up? Murtaza's name has not been under consideration of the selectors at any stage, said the PCB Secretary.
