• A sound innings from Hampshire's Giles White steadied Hampshire to a comfortable win in their first pre-season friendly against Glamorgan.

• Choosing to bat first Glamorgan batsmen all made decent scores but could not progress past the 30s. Stephenson, Hampshire's all-rounder, tore into the middle order, and in his nine overs restriction conceded just 27 runs taking 3 wickets.

• Hampshire, in turn, after a sketchy start were steadied by a 4th wicket partnership of 71 by Stephenson and Keech, and on White's dismissal for 84, Kenway took the home side to victory with 11 balls to spare.
