Bermuda batting first again, scored an impressive 206 for 8 with Landro Minors carrying his bat for an impressive 87 not out. Stephen Outerbridge 29, Chris Foggo 23, and Jim West 18 were other notables with the bat. Bermuda again had a wonderful start, losing their first wicket at 73, and recovering again from 4/86 to reach 8/206!

Bowling for the Canadian juniors, Gitu Hassan 2/27, Ajay Minhas 2/28, Nathan Richards 1/38, Videsh Seepersaud 1/50, and Chris Argunen 1/40 shared the wickets.

Canada started badly, losing their first wicket at 4. They were 2/51, 3/60, 4/71, 5/93, 6/93, 7/129 and 8/130 to reach the target at 8/211. Skipper Ashish Bagai's was overdue and scored an unbeaten 103. He was ably supported by Videsh Seepersaud of the Mississauga Ramblers CC in the Hamilton and District's Cricket League. Videsh coming in with the score at 8/130 also carried his bat for an unbeaten valuable 33 runs. Only Gibran Rahaman 19 and Nathan Richards 15 of the remaining team reached double figures. Congratulations gentlemen.

Bermuda's bowling was led by Kanaz Tuzo's 2/13, with Oliver Pitcher 2/34 and Jim West 2/35 also getting among the wickets.

Canada therefore won the 1999 Canada vs.Bermuda U-17 Junior Trophy to even the annual series 1-1. In the future, we hope to see more and more age-group competitions between Bermuda and Canada.
