The Australian bowling was disciplined, penetrative and indeed to good for
the Indians on the day. Nathan Bracken with figures of 2/21 off 7 overs
began the rot, picking up the crucial wickets of Sachin Tendulkar and
Sourav Ganguly. Shane Warne, who has not enjoyed bowling in India as much
as he would have liked was in his element, bowling with a good total behind
him. The leggie scalped 3-38. However, it was Steve Waugh's bowling that
was the biggest surprise of the day. Having not bowled for a long spell in
international cricket the Aussie skipper bowled cleverly to take home three
wickets for 29 runs.
