Michael Gwyl Bevan is an ODI legend. He has an astonishing batting average
of 57.41 in ODIs. Time and again he has carried Australia through to some
remarkable victories. He started off slowly, batting with a lot of patience
and with his trademark running between the wickets. He stood strong at one
end and played sensibly accumulating the ones and twos all through his
innings. When India started to tighten the screws he struck some telling
blows off the bowling of Srinath and Harbhajan Singh.
