Ricky Ponting's nightmare with the bat continued in Chennai.
He was dismissed for a golden duck, easily stumped by Dighe off Harbhajan Singh.
Adam Gilchrist who made a 'king pair' in Kolkata just about got a single and
fell to Singh's guiles, trapped lbw. The Aussie 'duck farm' was swelling in
numbers as Shane Warne, Jason Gillespie and Colin Miller fell to Harbhajan without
making a run. Last man Glenn McGrath (3*) was the only man to give Hayden some
company, taking him to his double hundred. Hayden was a picture of confidence
playing the sweep shot to good effect as he got to his individual milestone.
He was the last man to be dismissed after making 203 valuable runs. His innings
was punctuated with half a dozen sixes and 15 fours. Matthew Hayden swept his
way to glory whereas Gilchrist failed, going for the sweep shot.
