England v Sri Lanka Fantasy Cricket
WIN one of five new Gunn and Moore Bats
FINAL STANDINGS
The dramatic events at Colombo had a decisive effect on the series - and the points scored, especially for
winning teams, had a major influence on the final standings in CricInfo's Fantasy competition. The 22 wickets
to fall, especially those to Jayasuriya and Vass, meant the winning managers accumulated points at a rapid rate
on what turned out to be the last day of this gripping series.

Supercats managed by Pablo Mukherjee finished top, his trump Jayasuriya contributing a massive 842 points
to his total. Ricky Sadarangani and Peter Maslyn finish on the same number of points - but Pablo is the
overall winner as he was first to enter his team. The Supercats win a Gunn and Moore kitbag, as well as a
brand new bat. Congratulations to Pablo, and to Ricky and Peter, who each take away a spanking new Gunn and
Moore bat of their choice.

The other lucky winners of the Gunn and Moore bats were Cute Boy's CSI Cricketers, and Lankasters
managed by Kenny T. The selection of Caddick rather than Croft was the main reason for their failure
to finish at the top of the table.

The most successful teams all featured the best players in their categories. Sri Lanka captain Sanath
Jayasuriya was the best all-rounder - chosen by 5,440 managers - and the most valuable of all players,
making him the top trump. Sri Lanka's appealer in chief, Sangakkara, was the essential choice as wicketkeeper,
but was selected by only 936 managers.
Surprisingly, the pace of Man of the Series Darren Gough and Chaminda Vass was a more telling than the spin
of Murali (the most chosen player as well as the most popular trump choice) and Croft - the surprise package
who was selected by only 2,782 Fantasy managers.
Of the batsmen, England hero Graham Thorpe leads the table. Both Atherton and Stewart were more popular
with Fantasy managers, but it was the Surrey left-hander who made the telling contribution. Jayawardene was
the top Sri Lankan batsman, but again was a less popular selection than team-mate Marvan Atapattu.
