Robert Ferley: Young spinner on the right path to success
Very rarely do you find a talented youngster with a fighting attitude who
goes about his work with a smile at all times. One such rare specimen is
Kent left arm spinner Robert Ferley. Having been described as 'gutsy' or
'pugnacious' on more than one occasion, Ferley quickly began to suspect
that people were saying in some backhanded way that he lacked innate
talent. Ending up as the second highest wicket taker from both teams,
Ferley clearly showed that there was more to him than often meets the eye.
