Coromandel King Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Invitation Tournament, 2001 Rules & Regulations
1. Laws of Cricket: Except as varied hereunder, the MCC laws of Cricket (2000 Code) shall apply in matches. The playing conditions for One Day Domestic Tournament (2000-2001) of the BCCI shall apply in all matches except as varied hereunder.
2. (i) Delete Rule 3 of BCCI One Day Rules
(ii) Delete Rule 4.1 (f) of BCCI One Day Rules and insert the following instead:
4.1 (f)Penalty for not achieving over rat:
the following penalty will apply if 50 overs or the number of overs as provided in Clauses 4.1 and 4.2 have not been bowled and the opposition has neither been dismissed or has a result been achieved within the scheduled hours of play for the Session.
For each over less than the required number of overs to be bowled, the fielding side will be penalized as under:
(a) Penalty for the number of overs bowled short shall be: Twice the run rate obtained by the batting side multiplied by overs bowled short = Penalty runs and the same will be added to the runs of the batting side at the end of the innings.
(b)At the end of the penalty runs calculated fraction of a run to be ignored.
(c)Fractions are to be ignored an all calculations regarding the number of overs.
(d)Total runs after the addition of penalty runs shall be taken into account. However, the number of overs bowled short where penalty runs are awarded shall not be added to the total number of overs actually bowled for calculation purpose.
(e)No deductions are to be made for wickets or brink breaks.
3. (i)Delete Rule 5.5 - Rule regarding 'inner circle' in the BCCI One Day Rules
(ii)Delete "and 5.5" occurring in line 2 of Rule 5.6 of BCCI One Day Rules.
4. Rule 10.3 of the BCCI One Day Rules
Instead of the Duckworth and Lewis System, the "Norm Method" of calculation shall be
followed in all interruptions of the game.
5.General: (i) The HCA shall have the power to shift the venue of the match at short notice in order to enable smooth conduct of the Tournament. No objections will be entertained on this account.
(ii)No player may play for more than one team in the tournament.
(iii)No protests will be entertained against umpiring decisions. All other protests on the conduct of the match should be made to the Hon. Secretary, Hyderabad Cricket Association within three hours of the conclusion of the Match. The protests will be considered by a Committee consisting of the following whose decision shall be final and binding on all the participants:
(a)The Honorary Secretary- The Hyderabad Cricket Association
(b)The Chairman, Technical Sub-Committee of Hyderabad Cricket Association or his Nominee
(c)One representative from the Sponsor
(d)Two representatives of the Association of Cricket Umpires, Hyderabad.
