Rules and Regulations

1.   Participating teams will be divided into Zones.

2.   Each team shall play each other team within its Zones once.

3.   (a) All preliminary matches shall be One day matches from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm with an interval of one hour, between 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm for Lunch and will be played on the basis of 45 overs each side and No Bowler is permitted to bowl more than 10 overs.

     (b) When the start of the match is delayed on the account of the ground being not ready or fit or any other vaild reason for not starting the match on time, the period of Lunch shall be curtailed by as much time as has been lost and in any event by not more than 20 minutes.

     (c) There will be only two drinks intervals in between the start of the Game and Lunch and two drinks intervals in between Lunch and close of play. No drink will be permitted during the last half an hour of the Game ie., after 4.30 pm.

4.   Latest MCC 2000 Code Rules adopted by the Boadr of Control for Cricket in India will be followed. A minimum of 15 overs must be bowled per hour of play. The penalty will be 6 runs added to the opponents total for every over bowled short. For computing the over rate, the fraction of an over is not taken into consideration. Part of any over bowled will be treated as a full over. The latest amendement regarding Wide Ball and No Ball shall be followed.

5.   The Dates and Venues for all matches will be fixed and the Umpires appointed by the Association. The Fixtures Committee will draw up fixtures periodically. Such Fixtures will be communicated to the participating teams. Non receipts of such communication will not be an excuse for absenting from playing the match. The Fixtures will also be notified on the Notice Board of KSCA offoce as and when fixtures are drawn. The teams failing to report at the venues will lost the match by default. School which gove walkover in the tournament will not be eligible to participate next year

6.   The participating teams will have to play matches on Week Days and Holidays also.

7.   Expences of all matches regarding the Lunch, Transport etc,. will be met by the participating teams.

8.   The Semi Finals and Final will be played for Two day duration, with six hours of play each day, where the First innings of the teams is limited to 55 overs and the Second Innings to 30 overs. The Result will be on the First innings if Two Innings are not completed. If for any reason even the first innings of both the teams are not completed or if even first innings ends on Tie on equal score, within the stipulated time, the Result will be by the Spin of a Coin by the Umpires at the close of olay in the Semi Finals. The hours of play shall be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with an Interval one hour between 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm for Lunch each day.

9.   Result:(Final)The Result will be on the first innings if two innings are not completed. If for any reason even the first innings of both the teams is not completed or if even first innings ends in a TIE on equal score, both the teams shall be declared as Joint Winners.

10.   New Ball:Second New Ball can be taken after 50 overs.

11.   Identity Card: With photographs, Name of the players, Signature, Date of Birth and Admission Number duly Certified by the Head of the Institution to be made available to all the players. These Identity Cards should be available with players for verification by the Umpires or KSCA officials on the match days.

12.    Players are to participate in the prooer Cricket Attire.

13.   Late coming of Teams: If a team reports late, their quota of overs for batting will be reduced at the rate of 4 minutes per over. (upto a maximum of 20 minutes) from the scheduled start.

14.   Late Start:If the match cannot start owing to ground conditions, the overs will be reallotted at the rate of one over for 4 minutes remaining for play, while deducting this provision of reducting 20 minutes of the Lunch interval shall also be taken into account. No match shall be cancelled before 11:00 am
