Ajit Agarkar doesn't have too many friends all around the world as he has disappointed more often than not. Sourav Ganguly and John Wright kept the faith in the Mumbai speedster and backed him to the hilt. For Agarkar this was a do or die series, there was no room for injuries or mediocre performances. The message was clear for Agarkar and he has found a new level motivation in the current series in South Africa. In the first match against the Proteas, he was the best of the Indian bowlers, the only one to trouble Gary Kirsten with his pace. The second match against South Africa saw Agarkar bowl with a lot of fire to pick 2/40 and a match winning catch to dismiss Mark Boucher. He destroyed the Kenyans with a fiery spell to finish with 10-2-27-4 at the Goodyear Park in Bloemfontein and won the Man of the Match award.
