The following rule will apply for relegation of players from a higher
Division I to Division II
7.1 Relegation qf any player who has played two or less matches up to
that date in the Division I Tournaments in the current season, is permitted
to play in any match (es) provided that the club has informed to the Tournament
Committee in writing prior to the commencement of the match. A copy of
that letter if requested should handed over to the opposing team.
7.2 Relegation of any player who has played more than two matches and
less than 5 matches up to that date in the Division I Tournament in the
current season, is permitted to play in any match(es) of the Division
I I Tournament of that season, based strictly on the following criteria
of his performance only, in the Division I Tournament of that particular
season, up to the time of that particular match concerned in which he
is expected to play.
" He should not have either,
Scored more than 15 0 runs with an average above 25 runs per innings
or
(ii) Taken more than IO wickets with an average less than 25 runs per
wicket or
(iii) Scored more than 125 runs at an Average above 20 runs per innings
and taken more than 8 wickets at an average less than 3 0 runs per wicket
in the Division I Tournament of that season "
The club should forward a written request along with the performance
report of the said player or players to reach the Tournament Committee
on or before 4. 00 p. m. on Monday prior to the commencement of the match.
Thereafter, the approval should be obtained from the Tournament Committee
prior to the commencement of the particular match.
7.3 Maximum of 5 players who have represented the division I team of
the current tournament could participate in one particular match of the
Division II Tournament.
7.4 Players who have represented Division I tournament cannot be included
in the final round of the division 11 tournament, if they have not represented
the club for at least two matches in the preliminary round of the Donovan
Andree Tournament
7.5 For the purpose of the interpretation of rules under 7 above, any
player who has been declared in the actual playing eleven only, shall
be considered as a player who has played in a match
