Transfer of Clubs-Players

6.1 No player who has represented one club at any match of the Division I or Division 11 or Division III or Limited Over Tournament, shall be permitted to represent any other club at any match of any of these Tournaments in one and the same season, except,

(a) Any player who joins/ceases to serve the Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force or Police, and /or

(b) Any player who is transferred strictly due to essential employment requirements from one Province to another Province.

(c) Refer 6 5.

If he wishes to, may be permitted to get transferred to represent a New Club prior to the commencement or during a season, provided the Tournament Condition 6.2 below strictly followed.

6.2 It is mandatory, that a player must receive, fresh registration for him, by the new club, as per (6.4), not later than 03 days before the scheduled commencement of the first match the player concerned is expected play for his new club.

6.3 A player cannot play for his New Club until his transfer has been accepted and confirmed and prior approval received from the Tournament Committee, in meeting (6.2) above.

6.4 The New club, requesting such fresh registration, shall ensure,

6.4.1 Regulations (5.1), (5.7), (5.8) and (6.3) all are fulfi I led in forwarding the application.

6.4.2 The following documentary evidence should accompany tile registration documents to substantiate the cause.

(i) The consent by the player concerned in writing, to leave the club and join a new club,

(ii) Letter of acceptance by his new club

(iii) Letter of release from the old club provided he has played in any of the matches in the Division I Tournament this season.

6.4.3. In case of any player qualifying for eligibility for the transfer of a club under the condition (6.4.2) following documentary evidence must also accompany the registration documents.

(i) Release letter from the former employer confirming his transfer. (Letter of release)

(ii) Certified copy of the letter of appointment issued by the new employer.

6.5. Any Division IIIplayer may be permitted to represent any other club if he wishes to, in any other tournament(s)


(i) Only on completion of Division III tournament, to play in a higher Division provided that his club does not have a team in Division I or Division 11 and the player has not represented any higher division cricket in the previous tournament.

(ii) On fulfilling requirement as per 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 (1)

(I I I') Letter of release from his old club.

6.6. TournamentCommitteehasnopowerstoauthorisetransferofmorethantwoplayersftom any one club during a season.

Note The Tournament Committee may request for further clarification on the essentiality of his services that requires such urgent transferring out from the Province he is presently employed, during this short period of the tournament. It shall be done purely to eliminate any misuse of this provision by any club to their anticipated undue advantage.
