(Harare 1st ODI - 23 Jun 2001)
Zimbabwe got off to a slow start, Cameron Cuffy and Reon King bowling a tight line and
length. The tall Windies bowlers extracted good pace and bounce off
the pitch to trouble the Zimbabwe batsmen. Dion Ebrahim (11) barely
survived for a while before edging one to Ridley Jacobs off the
bowling of King. Stuart Carlisle made 17 off just 20 balls and looked
good on the way to a big score; he was brilliantly caught by Hooper at
short cover. Grant Flower (29) struggled to keep the scoreboard
moving and Zimbabwe had lost the initiative.
