Hussain might not have matched Trescothick in strokeplay but at
least in terms of runs scored in the course of the second wicket
partnership, the England skipper came out on top. He scored 75 of
the 121 runs that the duo realised for the second wicket. It was
a clear reflection of the fact that Hussain had more of the
strike; he faced 97 out of the 156 balls that were bowled during
the period between his arrival and dismissal.
