The following are rulings made by the MDC during the 2002-03 season:
Lamma versus Police - Saturday Cup (Round 1) played 1st March 2003
The MDC received
an objection from Lamma CC concerning their defeat by Police CC in
the Saturday Cup 1st Round on 2nd March last. After the
game, the Police Team Captain discovered that he had fielded a
non-registered player (Arnie Highfield) in the mistaken belief that he
was a
HKCA member. Lamma CC were informed accordingly and have chosen to pursue
the matter.
The MDC confirms that Police CC are in direct breach of the competition
rules and has no alternative but to award the match to Lamma CC by
default
and declare them as winners. Lamma will now play St. George's in the
Cup
Quarterfinal on 15th March and Police will play Saracens in the Plate
on 8th
March.
