| The traditional
season opening fixture between the best of the Clubs (KCC and HKCC) and
the best of the Independents, was held in fine, hot conditions at Kowloon
Cricket Club on Sunday, 8th September 2002. The game was the first 50-overs-per-side
match to be played on the KCC ground since its opening after extensive
redevelopment over the summer.
Set a target of 206
for victory, the Clubs XI secured victory in the 49th over. [Report]
