With the West Indies cruising towards a win, the Jamshedpur crowd unfortunately decided to take matters into its own hands. Bottles and other debris littered the field, and some particularly arson- inclined elements set banners and hoardings on fire. The teams were immediately led off, and for a while it looked as if the West Indies would be awarded the match by consequence of their stronger position.
