Out walked Dravid, the man in sight of a world record. The whole of India were willing their vice-captain on, as he took his stance. But after playing just 16 balls, he had the mortification of being bowled 89 runs short of a record-equaling fifth consecutive Test ton. Sachin Tendulkar, however, was the next man in and that meant the disappointment caused by the departure of India's Mr Dependable quickly faded away.
