PAKISTAN v SRI LANKA 1991-92
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1993

At Hyderabad, January 15. Pakistan won by 59 runs. Toss: Sri Lanka. Pakistan's third win in a row, which settled the limited-overs rubber, was emphatic. Inzamam-ul-Haq set the tempo with a blistering 60 off 77 balls, featuring a five and six fours, before Javed Miandad took over the reins with a masterly back-to-form display. After sharing 109 runs in 21 overs with Inzamam, he added 86 in just 68 deliveries with Salim Malik. Miandad struck two sixes and 12 fours in his unbeaten 115. Sri Lanka's first wicket produced 70 runs, but Aqib Javed and Imran Khan, who claimed three for 15 in eight overs, broke the back of their middle order. Although Tillekeratne and Atapattu added 40 for the seventh wicket, the visitors never really looked like matching an asking rate above six an over.

Man of the Match: Javed Miandad.
