SOUTH AFRICA v INDIA 1992-93
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1994

At Bloemfontein, December 15 (day/night). South Africa won by eight wickets. Toss: South Africa. International debut: V. S. Yadav.

Hudson scored his country's first hundred in a limited-overs international as South Africa gained a decisive 4–1 lead in the series. Needing 208, they received a good start from Wessels and Hudson, who put on 125 in 33 overs – a stand which was interrupted for 15 minutes when the floodlights lost some power. Hudson always scored freely on the front and back foot before he was caught in the covers with only four runs required. He faced 147 balls and hit a six and eight fours. India had again been pinned down by accurate bowling before Azharuddin and Shastri accelerated in the last six overs. Unruly crowd behaviour marred the match with several pitch invasions as players reached milestones.

Man of the Match: A. C. Hudson.
